About DCI

A leading representative organisation of the Dubai construction industry.

 

The Dubai Construction Industry Business Group (DCI) - Al-Moltaka is a platform to enable members to network with senior professionals from the construction industry on a more regular basis. Our Objective is “To foster co-operation and understanding between Construction professionals and other related professionals and concerned persons, in the interests of both safeguarding and improving the built environment for the community in Dubai.”

Al-Moltaka is the Arabic word for Gathering - a special Gathering of senior, high ranking members of the community normally held in the best Majlis - very apt for this Gathering of Senior Executives from the Construction Industry in Dubai.

DCI is formally registered through the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and will liaise and work together with the Chamber on matters of common interest.

The DCI aims to:

  • Understand.

    Create a better understanding of the relative functions, problems and contributions of Members involved in each discipline.

  • Communicate.

    Promote positive communication between the construction professionals as a whole, as well as between Members within their respective disciplines.

  • Co-operate.

    Endeavour to engender a spirit of co-operation amongst the Members of DCI; Create a networking opportunity for senior members of the development, consultant and construction bodies of our industry; and Present an integrated common front in the environmental, functional, aesthetic, technical and socio-economic aspects of design and construction.

  • Meet.

    Regular Monthly Meetings of the Members of DCI (a Al-Moltaka) will be arranged with speakers on technical and other relevant subjects of interest to the Members. Visits to new construction developments as well as social and sporting fixtures and functions such as golf days, dinners, etc. may be organised.

Operations

 

  • The operations of the DCI Al-Moltaka will be conducted under a formal system covered by Articles of Agreement.

  • The DCI will be controlled by a Committee consisting of members of the various professional disciplines of the DCI.

  • Construction Professionals will be invited to join the Al-Moltaka by completing a membership application form which must be submitted to the Committee. There will be four main classes of membership – Ordinary, Corporate, Honorary and Retired. Only senior members of the various companies may join the DCI so as to encourage the correct level of networking amongst all members for their mutual benefit.

  • Members will be entitled to attend and contribute to all Al-Moltaka functions throughout the year. Membership fees may be paid on an annual basis or on the door at each function during the year.

  • Members are encouraged to bring guests to the functions and to introduce suitable new members to Al-Moltaka. Members are also invited to sponsor the various functions and there are numerous packages available for this purpose.
